Phuong Mai 1 wind farm

The Phuong Mai 1 wind farm plant is located in the Binh Dinh province of Vietnam, in operation since 2021. With an installed capacity of 26.4 MW, it produces 55 GWh of renewable electricity annually. Wind power is still very much an emerging technology in Vietnam, but one with lots of potential. Wind farms only began to be constructed in 2012, but now over 11 TWh of electricity is produced from wind yearly. Vietnam’s extensive coastline and tropical climate make it ideal for wind farms, with the potential for offshore even greater than that of onshore.
