Byafossen

Byafossen is located in Steinkjer in Trøndelag County. The original plant from 1936 was demolished and replaced by a completely new dam and plant in 2018. With the new construction the annual output has increased from 20 to 36 GWh. Byafossen has two 6 MW Kaplan turbines.

Bogna is located in Snåsa municipality in the county of Nord-Trøndelag in Central Norway. The power plant utilizes the fall from Bangsjøan to Snåsavannet. The plant is equipped with a Francis turbine.

Ormsetfoss

Ormsetfoss is located in Verran municipality in the county of Nord-Trøndelag in Central Norway. The power plant utilizes a fall from the river Moldelva from Ormsetvatnet (Photo) to sea level in Verrasundet. The plant uses Ormsetvatnet as regulating reservoir between 389 and 375 m above sea level.

Mosvik

Mosvik power station is located in Mosvik municipality in the county of Nord-Trøndelag in Central Norway. The power plant utilizes the fall of 209 meters from Meltingvatnet (Photo) to sea level in the Trondheims fjord. The plant is equipped with a Francisturbine with the installed capacity of 37 MW.

Follafoss

Follafoss is a hydro plant in Verran municipality. The old plant (26 MW) was in operation from 1923. In 2005 the new Follafoss Power Plant (44 MW) was commissioned. The new station is located inside the mountain next to the old plant.
Follafoss is owned by Nord-Trøndelag Elektristetsverk (NTE) and this was their first power plant. Today NTE is a one of the major producers in Norway, supplying consumers with renewable energy from hydro and wind power plants.

Skoczykłody is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Głuchów in Central Poland. The wind park delivers clean, renewable energy in a country that relies heavily on electricity production from coal.

Yuxian Dongxinghe Wind

The Yuxian Dongxinghe 49.5MW Wind Power Project, located in the Hebei province of China, delivers over 108 GWh of clean, renewable energy to the North China Grid. The project reduces GHG emissions from electricity generation in an area that is otherwise dominated by traditional thermal powerplants and contributes to creation of clean-energy employment opportunities in the region.

Vassfossen is a hydropower plant in Frolands, Aust-Agder County, Norway. With an installed capacity of 5.5 MW, Vassfossen produces 26 GWh of renewable electricity per year.

Borregaard

The Borregaard hydropower plant is located at the Sarpsfossen waterfall in Norway. With an installed capacity of 51 MW, Borregaard has an annual production of 250 GWh.

Hafslund

The Hafslund power plant is located at Sarpsfossen (pictured – photo by Simo Vaikre) and it is one of Norway’s oldest hydro plants. Hafslund power plant is comprised of four Francis Turbines, which make for an annual production of 160 GWh.
