Alex Photovoltaic Solar Complex

The Alex Photovoltaic Solar Complex, located in Ceará, Brazil, has an installed capacity of 360 MWp thanks to nine photovoltaic generating plants and 811 000 solar panels. It thus has the capacity to provide approximately 1 million people with electricity and prevents 1.8 million tons of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere.

Totoral Wind Farm

Totoral Wind Farm is located in Canela, IV Region of Coquimbo, 295 kilometers north of Santiago. It was built under the Unconventional Renewable Energy Law (ENRC) and contributes its total power to the Central Interconnected System (SIC). Totoral was registered in December 2010 under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The wind farm has 23 Vestas V90 wind turbines, 80 meters high and 90 meters in diameter with a LAP capacity of 46 MW.

Planta Solar San Pedro III is a photovoltaic solar plant located 32 km southeast from the city of Calama, in Chile. This desert area has one of the highest levels of solar exposure in the world, with around 3,000 hours per year. The solar park started its operations in January 2016 with a capacity of 57.44 MW, which generate 165 000 MWh of renewable energy annually.
