North America is one of the most advanced regions in terms of renewable energy technologies and infrastructure. Renewables are expected to make up more than half of energy supply by 2050, with added renewable capacity every year, especially wind and solar. In the US in 2023 alone, a record 31 GW of new solar capacity were installed.
